UPDATE: Missing Student, Katie O’Connell Found Safe

Katie O’Connell, a young Oak Brook woman who had been presumed missing has been found; alive, well, and unharmed. The twenty-year-old was thought to have disappeared on Sunday night after visiting a bar in the River North area. The young woman had not been seen or heard-from since early Sunday morning when she left bar and supposedly headed home in a cab. When she didn’t return, her father notified police. After nearly 64 hours missing, Katie phoned relatives once she found out that people were searching for her. Details about why she did not notify her family of her whereabouts remain are sketchy. Her family is just happy that she’s safe.
