The mother accused of murdering her 2-year old daughter in 2008 does not face charges of first degree murder. Since May 24th, America has been paying close attention to Casey Anthony, who now only faces misdemeanor counts of lying to investigators which means she may walk free since she has already been incarcerated since 2008.
The CSI-like investigations may be why this case has been so popular. But, the cutting-edge crime-scene science is far more technical, inexact and contradictory than anything a screenwriter might make up.
