The Chicago Sun-Times reports that last Wednesday morning, a Bank of America branch at 1336 Chicago Ave. in Evanston was robbed at about 11 a.m.
There was a GPS tracking device in a bag that the man had took from the bank. The GPS alerted police of the direction the man was heading.
The FBI and Chicago police tracked the vehicle south on Lake Shore Drive after the bank robbery, police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak said. The suspect was caught in the 8100 block of South Yates, she said.
